Photo Lab Printer and Sales Associate

This is an opportunity to join NJ’s premier gallery and photography service center team located in Morristown, NJ. As the Lab Printer and Sales Associate you will be part of a team that is responsible for the positive experiences and final product that customers have with their artwork and images. This is a full-time opportunity for the right person to be part of helping the growth of an existing business and community resource. The ideal candidate will be someone who appreciates photography; will possess good technical knowledge of digital imaging, and working familiarity with photography and color theory. We are seeking a candidate with basic experience in these areas and will offer highly engaged training, where necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Printing customer images in 708 South Gallery Lab
  • Processing 35mm and medium format film
  • Flatbed scanning
  • Reaching out to customers to ensure quality product
  • Resolving wide range of customer inquiries, including order status and technical support
  • Troubleshooting customer issues to produce positive outcomes
  • Following up with customers about their orders
  • Assist Production Manager with ensuring proper function and output of printer
  • Assuring quality of finished product
  • Assisting customers with in-store ordering of prints
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree a must, major in arts is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and establish priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Outstanding people skills and a positive demeanor
  • Works well individually and as part of a team
  • Experience in printing on automated color minilab printers such as Fuji, Noritsu and Agfa
  • Experience in printing on wide format inkjet printers such as Epson and Canon
  • Experience and interest in both 35mm film and digital photography
  • High degree of competency working with Mac and PC environments and computers/smartphones in general a must
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop a must
  • Additional imaging software skills a plus
  • Mounting, laminating, framing experience a plus
  • Retail customer service experience a plus
  • Retouching skills a plus

Sales Manager

Job Description

This is an opportunity to join NJ’s premier gallery and photography service center team located in Morristown, NJ. As the Sales Manager you will be part of a team that is responsible for the positive experiences and final product that customers have with their artwork and images. This is a full-time opportunity for the right person to be part of helping the growth of an existing business and community resource. The ideal candidate will be someone who appreciates photography; has successfully managed people, has retail sales experience, is innovative in their thoughts to increase revenue from the various areas of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, lead an oversee the 70 South Gallery staff
  • Day-to-day operations of the retail store
  • Customer service with clients
  • Ensure smooth operation of business and that deadlines of client projects are being met
  • Ensure the quality of printing and output for clients
  • Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
  • Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing a budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving; maintaining inventories
  • Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sale promotion; studying trends and analyzing competitive activities
  • Markets services by studying advertising, sales promotion and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
  • Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
